Tandem Transport
In a bid to find more efficient ways to transport people while using less road space, car manufacturers are radically rethinking the shape of their vehicles. Previously clinging to the rigid idea that the width of a car must be defined by its ability to fit two or more people in it side by side, recent concepts have promoted much narrower ‘one-plus-one’ four-wheel vehicles – sitting somewhere between a scooter and a car – as a possible solution to urban congestion.
