Dads 2.0
Until now, the stereotypical modern dad had been defined as someone who helps out at bedtime, changes the occasional nappy and even does the school run now and then – he is engaged with parenting, but on a relatively tokenistic level. Now a new, ‘conscious’ father is emerging, a 360-degree parent who defines himself as a dad as much as a careerist, who wants to be involved in every aspect of his children’s upbringing and who shops for domestic products, blurring the lines between what were traditionally seen as maternal and paternal roles. Meet Dad 2.0.
